Self-serve reference

Plans and limits, without the guesswork.

Monthly messages measure total use. The new-recipient safeguard controls how quickly an account can start first-time conversations. They are separate limits.

Rolling safeguard

Keep existing conversations moving.

Every self-serve plan warns after 10 distinct new recipients in a rolling 24-hour window. At the default limit of 20, new first-time conversations pause until the rolling window clears.

Eligible conversations with people your account has messaged before can continue within the monthly plan allowance. Self-serve is not for high-volume cold outreach.

0–9
Normal use

Start controlled, consent-based conversations.

10
Warning threshold

The safeguard records a warning; sending is not paused yet.

20
Default new-recipient limit

New first-time conversations pause for the rolling window.

Worked example

If 20 new recipients each have a 50-message conversation with your agent, that uses 1,000 of Growth's 2,000 incoming and outgoing monthly messages. The new-recipient counter is still 20, not 1,000. Those eligible conversations can continue within the remaining monthly allowance.

What counts

Read the two counters separately.

Counts monthly

Incoming and outgoing texts

Each inbound or outbound text uses one message from the billing-period allowance. Typing indicators, read receipts, and reactions do not.

Counts in 24 hours

Distinct new recipients

A recipient is new only when that account has no prior message history with them. Repeated messages do not create another distinct recipient.

Need a managed rollout?

Keep Agency terms separate.

Agency is request-only. Fit and number availability are reviewed before provisioning, so self-serve limits do not promise managed capacity or timing.
